Within 20 minutes drive from Alnwick you can reach the National Trust’s Cragside in Rothbury or the beautiful Heritage Coastline of Alnwick District. Places of interest are too numerous to mention, but pretty villages to visit on the coast would include – Alnmouth, Warkworth, Craster, Embleton, Low Newton by the Sea and of course Bamburgh. Inland, Rothbury, and the scenery between Alnwick and Rothbury, and Rothbury to Kielder Water via Bellingham Village is particularly beautiful.
